About us

EAADD (European Association for Automated Dose Dispensing) is a Europe-wide non-profit Association, founded in August 2020, made up of professionals from the world of pharmaceuticals specialising in automated blister packaging and dose dispensing (ADD) with the goal of achieving the highest drug safety standards.

As such, it aims to harmonise and coordinate expansion and best practices in the use of ADD, standardising criteria at European level to benefit people’s well-being and health, especially for the most frail and the elderly.

En tal sentido se pretende unificar y coordinar la expansión y las buenas prácticas en el uso del ADD, estandarizando criterios a nivel europeo en beneficio del bienestar y la salud de las personas, especialmente los más frágiles y personas mayores.

A word of welcome from the Board

We welcome you to learn about this initiative to create the Association in an environment where varying national laws on automated blister packaging for medications coexist in Europe and momentum is required to harmonise ADD best practices in the sector. Hence the need for an Association that defends and promotes innovation in the pharmaceutical sector in the use of this practice and also ensures that the highest levels of drug adherence and safety are attained.

We invite you to join this ambitious project to define the guidelines, actions and definitive goals that we need to establish to create a brighter future for our sector, in pursuit of the common good and health for all.

It only remains to say that the Association that we are presenting to you requires a common effort from all of us to outline, clarify and succeed in creating solid bases to shape and meet the expectations of the various actors in the pharmaceutical sector who take part in the automated blister packaging process.

We encourage you to join us and we guarantee you the greatest transparency, collaboration, energy and support that we can offer.
